Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Studio.Prompted LLC ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use our QuickBooks integration software ("the Software").

1. Information We Access

The Software accesses data in your connected QuickBooks Online company, which may include:

Company information (name, address, contact details)
Customer, vendor, and employee records
Financial transactions (invoices, bills, expenses, payments)
Accounts and general ledger data
Reports and analytics

We access this information solely on your direct instruction, in order to perform the functions you request.

2. How Information Is Used

Data accessed through the Software is used only to:

Fulfill requests you make (generating reports, creating transactions, etc.)
Enable AI assistant features you enable
Maintain authorized access to your QuickBooks account via OAuth tokens

We do not sell, rent, or share your QuickBooks data with third parties.

3. Data Storage

The Software runs locally on your own computer. OAuth credentials (client ID, client secret, refresh tokens) are stored in a local .env file on your machine. QuickBooks data accessed at runtime is not persistently stored by the Software.

4. Third-Party Services

The Software connects to the following third-party services:

Intuit QuickBooks Online — to read and write your accounting data, subject to Intuit's own privacy policy
Your chosen AI assistant (e.g., Claude) — when you use AI features, data may be transmitted to the AI provider subject to that provider's privacy policy

You are responsible for reviewing and accepting the privacy policies of these third-party services.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the Software from unauthorized access, but you are responsible for the security of the machine on which the Software runs, including protection of the .env file containing your credentials.

6. Your Rights

Because the Software runs locally, you have full control of all data. You may:

Revoke QuickBooks access at any time via the Intuit developer portal or QuickBooks app connection settings
Delete the Software and its local credential files at any time

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top reflects the most recent version.
